WHAT: First Amendment March and Rally for Immigrants WHEN: Tuesday May 1, 2018 Various Times. WHERE: Central Bureau/Downtown Los Angeles WHO: The incident Commander for the Department will be Deputy Chief Robert Arcos, Commanding Officer, Operations-Central Bureau WHY: To identify Media Staging Areas, Media Viewing Areas, and to identify street closures as defined by the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation. 1.. Organizer: Answer Coalition Event Name: May Day Start Location: Olympic and Broadway End Location: Temple / Broadway Assembly Time: 5:00 a.m. March Time: 10:00 a.m.

Media Staging/Media Viewing Area: The media staging/viewing area for the assembly is the Northeast Corner of Olympic Blvd. and S. Broadway. Media parking has been dedicated on North Main Street.

2. Organizer: LA County Federation of Labor Event Name: May Day March Start Location: 6th Street Between Olive Street and Hill Street End Location: Temple / Los Angeles and Judge John Aiso Assembly Time: 7:00 a.m. March Time: Noon Rally Time: 5:00 p.m.

3. Organizer: Full Rights for Immigration Event Name: Build Bridges Not Walls Start Location: Olympic and Broadway End Location: Main Street / Olvera Street/ La Placita Church

Assembly Time: 1:00 p.m. March Time: 1:30 p.m. End Time: 6:00 p.m.

PIOs will be staged at the start location and end location to monitor the media throughout the event. Additionally, PIOs will be staged along the demonstration route to monitor any media crews that stop outside the staging areas. PIOs will be deployed as needed in areas that media issues arise.

Additional stationary rally areas: PIO’s will make periodic assessments of all media staging areas, and will make notifications via social media platforms.
