May Day Media Parking

What:   
Organizers from various work and human rights coalitions are staging various marches in Downtown Los Angeles on May 1st.  The Los Angeles Police Department will facilitate these marches and assist with providing media with locations to stage and park.  

When:   
Thursday, May 1, 2014
12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: 
Location 1- Event Staging 10:00 am – Olympic Blvd and Broadway
March – 12:00 pm – Northbound Broadway to Temple
Concludes – 3:00 pm – Temple and Broadway

Media Parking – Main Street and Hill Street only, no parking will be allowed on any East/West street near the staging, assembly or speaking locations.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.

Location 2- Event Staging 10:00 am – Ceasar Chavez and Broadway
March – 11:00 am – Southbound Broadway to Eastbound Aliso to Southbound Alameda to 535 N. Alameda
Conclusion – 1:30 pm – Alameda between Temple & Aliso
Media Parking – Main Street and Hill Street only, no parking will be allowed on any East/West street near the staging, assembly or speaking locations.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.

Location 3- Event Staging 2:00 pm – Olympic Blvd and Broadway
March – 3:00 pm – Northbound Broadway to 3rd Street
Conclusion- 6:30 pm – Broadway near 3rd Street
Media Parking – Main Street and Hill Street only, no parking will be allowed on any East/West street near the staging, assembly or speaking locations.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.

Note: 
LAPD, Media Relations Section Officers and march organizers will be available at each location to speak on the event.  

There will be street closures and bus lines will be re-routed in the affected area.  Please be guided by the information on www.ladottransit.com for information.
