WHY:
Clarification of Media Parking

The purpose of this Advisory is to inform All media outlets that parking of Media Vehicles on the sidewalks in and around the Police Administrative Building (PAB) is prohibited. Media Vehicles shall only park media vehicles along the East curb of Main Street between 1st Street and 2nd Street for any media event at the PAB. Media parking along 1st Street in front of the PAB is restricted. The Main Street parking location has been designated for Media vehicles in order to provide convenient access to the “Media Multi-Box” located on the East curb of Main Street.

The Main Street “Media Multi-Box” will allow the media to connect video and audio transmission cables directly to media trucks from the five remote “Multi-Box” locations on the PAB property. The five “Multi-Boxes” are located in the following areas of PAB: Deaton Auditorium (Auditorium), Police Memorial Plaza area (Plaza), Compstat Room (Compstat), Board of Police Commissioners room (BOC), Media Relations Studio (Studio). The “Multi-Box” located on the East curb of Main Street is the main box that can receive video and audio directly from the five remote locations described above.
