Missing 14 Year Old Girl Driving 97 Lexus

Sherman Oaks – On Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at approximately 4:30 am, Emily Marie Helsley, a fourteen-year-old girl, ran away from her residence in Sherman Oaks, California. Emily is believed to have taken her family’s car, a 1997 Lexus, LS400, white, 4-door, California’s License Plate Number 3VUN721.

Emily is described as a female, Caucasian, light complexion, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 105 pounds, and red hair (with the tips dyed blue).

Emily is under the care of a physician. The Helsley family has increasingly become concerned for the welfare of their daughter, and is requesting the public’s assistance in locating her. LAPD Detectives have made an entry into the National Missing Person System, but all efforts to locate Emily have been unsuccessful.

The San Francisco Police Department located Emily Marie Helsley on Friday, May 5, 2000, at approximately 8:00 pm in the city of San Francisco. SFPD reports that the female juvenile is in good condition and is being detained pending arrival of her parents who have been notified of her whereabouts. Helsley will be released to her parents upon their arrival to the city of San Francisco.
