Missing 4-Year Old – UPDATE

Los Angeles: On Thursday, December 5, 2002, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the suspect picked up his 4-year old child at Laurel Canyon Blvd and Osborne Street for a scheduled custodial visit. As of the above date and time, the suspect has not returned the child from the custodial visit. The suspect vacated his known residence and did not leave a forwarding address or phone number with the child’s mother. The mother fears that the suspect will leave the state with the child and believes the suspects may be in the Littlerock, California area.
A crime report was taken for "Child Concealment," on 12-13-02.
The missing child has been identified as 4-year old, Jacob Urena, a male Hispanic, 4’00", 45 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes, medium build and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a thermal shirt (blue, red, gray) blue jeans and black boots.
The father has been identified as 31- year old, Toribio Urena, a male Hispanic, 5’ 6", 170 lbs., Brown hair, brown eyes, medium build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue jersey " UC Berkley" in gold.

UPDATE

Los Angeles: On Saturday, December 14, 2002 at approximately 5:00 p.m, the missing 4-year old, Jacob Urena, was returned to his mother by the suspect’s sister. According to the child’s Mother, the suspect gave the child to his sister and she took the child to his mother’s house. The child was returned in good condition. Foothill Detectives continue to investigate.
