Motor Officer Involved in a Hit-and-Run Collision

Los Angeles – On Sunday, March 19, 2000 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Ronald Roberson, an on-duty uniformed motor officer from the Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic Division, was the victim of a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred at Crenshaw Boulevard and 77th Street. The hit-and-run driver abandoned the vehicle, a 1986 silver Chevrolet, a short distance from the collision scene and fled on foot.

Officer Ronald Roberson was admitted to a local hospital in stable condition with a fractured right clavicle, a fractured right elbow and other injuries. He will be undergoing further surgery to his right elbow on Monday, March 20, 2000. The suspect remains outstanding at this time as the investigation continues.

**UPDATE**

On Monday, March 20, 2000 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Cindy Ziegler, a 28 year old and a resident of Los Angeles was arrested by South Traffic Detectives for 20001 V.C., felony hit-and-run.
