Multi Victim Shooting in Hollywood NR21127ll

Hollywood: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide are investigating a multi-victim shooting in Hollywood that left one man dead and three victims hospitalized.

On May 9, 2021, at about 10:10 p.m., Hollywood Area officers were in the area of Gower and Afton Place when they heard numerous shots fired. The officers located a party in the 6100 block of Afton Place. When officers arrived they discovered four shooting victims and an unruly crowd. An adult victim was pronounced dead at scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victims to local hospitals. One victim is in critical condition. Two victims are in stable condition.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.

The suspects were described as two male Hispanics, no further information. It is unknown if this is gang related.
