"Murder Investigation"

Los Angeles – On Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the victim, identified as Albaro Abel Villalobos, 31 years of age, was in his place of business, a restaurant located at 119 East Anaheim Street, when two armed suspects entered the location and apparently attempted to commit a robbery. The suspects, described only as males, fired numerous rounds inside the restaurant before fleeing through a rear door. The victim chased the suspects, who continued firing at the victim. Mr. Villalobos was fatally injured by the gunfire. He was transported to Harbor/UCLA hospital by an RA unit, where he failed to respond to medical treatment and was pronounced dead at 4:07 p.m.

The motive for this crime appears to be robbery. The suspects and murder weapon are outstanding.
