Murder Suspect Taken into Custody NR23052mp

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives announce the arrest of a suspect wanted for murder.

On March 7, 2023, around 12:45 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Vehicle” radio call in the area of Remick Avenue and Paxton Street. Upon arrival, officers located a victim in the street suffering from blunt force trauma. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed the driver intentionally drove his vehicle, described as a burgundy Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck, into the victim, then fled the location.

Later in the day on March 7, Detectives from LAPD/FBI Fugitive Taskforce located the suspect in a motel in North Hollywood where he was taken into custody without incident.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to family members.
