Murder Suspects Arrested NR11571gb

Los Angeles:  On November 29, 2011, at about 7:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department uniformed patrol officers assigned to Topanga Area were flagged down by a citizen who directed them to two shooting victims in the area of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Marylee Street in the City of Woodland Hills.

Upon their arrival, they saw a male Black going in and out of consciousness, lying on the sidewalk near the above mentioned intersection.  The first victim later identified as 30-year-old Joshman White of the San Fernando Valley suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to survive.  The officers were then directed to an additional victim who was located in the middle of the park, located just yards away from Mr. White.  This victim, identified as 23-year-old Justin Cash of the San Fernando Valley sustained a single gunshot wound.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Justin Cash dead at the scene.

On December 3, 2011, Los Angeles Police Officers arrested the first of two suspects sought in connection with the murder of Justin Cash and attempted murder of Joshman White.  Jonathan Cuzal, a male Hispanic, 23-year-old, from Encino California was arrested for murder by officers in the City of Reseda.

On December 7, 2011, Los Angeles Police Officers arrested the second suspect sought in connection with the murder of Justin Cash and attempted murder of Joshman White.  David Castro Jr, a male Hispanic, twenty-two years of age from Encino California was arrested for murder by officers in the City of Reseda.

Castro Jr. was booked for murder and he is being held on $3,025,000 bail. Cuzal was also booked for the same charge and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
