Why:
Victim: George Rodriguez
Location of Occurrence: 1100 block of Camulos Street

On July 1, 2006, at about 12:40 a.m., George Rodriguez, 19, appeared to be walking northbound along parked cars in the street in the 1100 block of Camulos Street. Unknown suspect(s) approached Rodriguez in an unknown manner and shot him one time to the left side of the neck. Rodriguez was found lying in the street in front of 1132 Camulos Street by residents. Rodriguez was transported to USCMC where he died from a gunshot wound.

Victim: Michael Dustin Flores
Location of Occurrence: 229 South Chicago Street

On March 24, 2007, at about 9:05 p.m., Michael Dustin Flores, 16, was walking on the sidewalk across from 229 S. Chicago Street when he was confronted by an unknown suspect. The suspect and Flores had a conversation while standing on the sidewalk. The suspect pointed a handgun at Flores chest, and shot him. Once Flores fell to the ground, the suspect fired four more shots at him. The suspect fled in a light colored van that was parked along the curb on Chicago Street facing northbound. The suspect entered the passenger door and the van fled northbound Chicago Street to eastbound 2nd Street. Flores was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Victim: Augusto Emiliano Zapata
Location of Occurrence: 1019 South Spence Street

On June 16 2007, at 2:35 a.m., Augusto Emiliano Zapata, 26, arrived at 1019 South Spence Street, a location he stayed at often. Zapata was standing in the street at the East/West alley on Spence Street between 7th Street and Atlantic Street. Unknown suspect(s) approached Zapata in an unknown manner and shot him in the chest. Zapata was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries
