June 5, 2009

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying several male and female suspects responsible for violence at a local nightclub that left a man in critical condition.

On June 1, 2009, at around 2 a.m., Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a fight at a parking lot across from a nightclub located in the 1600 block of Schrader Boulevard.  The officers found a male victim lying on the pavement bleeding profusely. According to witnesses, the lot was a scene of a confrontation where the victim was injured from fighting and being run over by a car.  The motive for the attack is unknown.

The officers’ investigation revealed that at one point, the victim ran to the opposite side of the lot where he was attacked by more suspects.  The suspects punched and knocked the victim unconscious to the ground.  All attackers then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Before leaving the scene, the suspects who initiated the fight also ran over the victim with a white, late-model BMW vehicle causing serious injuries.  The suspects then drove out of the lot and fled southbound on Schrader Boulevard.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
