Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Force Investigation Division is investigating a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) that occurred in the City of Filmore.

On July 25, 2025, around 4:20 p.m., an off-duty Police Officer assigned to Metropolitan Division was in the garage of his residence, conducting maintenance on his off-duty firearm when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) personnel responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
