Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Force Investigation Division is investigating a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge that occurred in West Valley Division.
On November 24, 2025, at around 6:30 a.m., an on-duty Police Officer assigned to West Valley Patrol Division was in the rear parking stall of the station conducting a start of watch inspection of a Department shotgun, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) occurred. The fired projectiles were discharged into the air.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
Force Investigation Division (FID) personnel responded and are investigating the incident.
