Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) NRF050-25dm

On September 17, 2025, at 8:14 a.m., an on-duty police officer, assigned to Training Division, was inside Shooting Range-A. The officer was positioned to the rear of the range and, while he was manipulating his firearm, an NTUD occurred.

The round discharged from the officer’s firearm struck a nearby wall, where it became embedded.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of the NTUD.

Force Investigation Division (FID) personnel responded and assumed investigative responsibility for this incident.
