Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) NRF056-25bb

On October 23, 2025, at around 6:05 p.m., an off-duty Police Officer assigned to North Hollywood Patrol Division was in the parking lot of Davis Training Facility. The Officer was standing at the rear of his personal vehicle, preparing his firearm for qualification, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) occurred.

The bullet struck the rear portion of the Officer’s vehicle and lodged itself in the storage compartment.

There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
