North Hollywood Detectives Investigate Jackson “50 Cent” Domestic Violence LA City Attorney files Domestic Violence and Vandalism charges against rapper NR13228st

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) North Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a call of domestic violence incident in the Toluca Lake area in Los Angeles.

On June 23, 2013, LAPD North Hollywood patrol officers and detectives responded to a call of a domestic violence incident in the Toluca Lake area.  The victim stated she was the victim of a domestic violence incident and that the suspect had damaged her personal property during the incident.   Responding officers and detectives conducted a thorough investigation and determined that the victim had been battered by the suspect and that the suspect had damaged victim’s property inside the residence.  The suspect fled prior to the officers arrival.  

The subsequent investigation identified the suspect as Mr. Jackson, 37 years of age and a resident of Farmington, Connecticut.  The victim identified Jackson as the well-known rapper, “50 Cent”.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office referred the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney for a misdemeanor filing consideration.  On July 1, 2013, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office filed one count of 273.5 PC – Domestic Assault and four counts of 594 PC – Vandalism against Mr. Jackson.  

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking any other potential witnesses to this incident.
