One Man Dead After Early Morning Car-to-Car Shooting NR21176jl

Venice: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a car-to-car shooting that left a man dead, and a woman seriously injured.

On Monday, July 5, 2021, around 2:36 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers from Pacific Division responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 6th Avenue and Brooks Avenue. Additional radio calls came in reporting a car-to-car shooting with a victim injured at Lincoln Boulevard and Rose Avenue. Officers arrived at that location and found a vehicle overturned with two gunshot wound victims inside.

The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced a male adult victim dead at scene. The other victim, a female adult, was transported to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. The suspect vehicle is described as a white four door sedan that left eastbound on Rose Avenue.

A large crime scene has been established and traffic will be closed around Lincoln Boulevard and Rose Avenue, and 6th Avenue and Brooks Avenue for the next several hours.
