“Operation Broken Heart” Results in the Arrests of Several Hundred Child Predators

During the month of May 2014, the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force launched “Operation Broken Heart” which resulted in the arrest of over 275 child predators.  Investigators will outline the operation and provide information as to their individual roles in the operation.  There will be a mobile lab on display.  The lab belongs to Los Angeles ICAC- LAPD.  It is used for on-site examination of digital devices use for the production, distribution and possession of Child Porn.

Homeland Security Investigations, Child Exploitation Investigative Groups from Long  Beach and Orange County, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Long Beach Police Department, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (Division of Adult Parole Operations), Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Upland Police Department, Torrance Police Department, Alhambra Police Department, Garden Grove Police Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
