Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Commercial Crimes Division Organized Retail Crimes Task Force (ORCTF) announced the arrest of a suspect in a series of retail thefts across Los Angeles County.
On July 2, 2025, the Los Angeles Police Department’s ORCTF arrested 23-year-old Henry Rivera, a Compton resident, for a series of organized retail thefts targeting shoe retailers across Los Angeles County. The arrest followed the service of a search warrant linked to nine separate incidents of robbery and grand theft, resulting in an estimated $25,800.00 in stolen merchandise. Detectives recovered two firearms and a substantial amount of stolen merchandise during the search.

Henry Rivera was arrested in the 100 block of E. Alondra Boulevard in the city of Compton for 487(a) PC: Grand Theft, booking number 7045272, and $300,000 bail.
The ORCTF remains dedicated to combating organized retail theft and continues working in partnership with retailer partners to safeguard local businesses.
