Los Angeles: On Sunday, September 30, 2001, at approximately 2:20 A.M., Manuel Soto Urdaneta, a male Hispanic 53 years old, was walking on the sidewalk in front of 3333 Motor Avenue. Two Black men confronted and exchanged words with Mr. Urdaneta. One of the men, later identified as 27 year old Everett Barrow, physically assaulted Mr. Urdaneta, knocking him to the sidewalk. Mr. Urdaneta was transported to Martin Luther King Hospital, were he died as the result of his injuries.
The suspect, Everett Barrow, was arrested at the scene of the incident and was booked for Murder at Pacific Community Police Station.
