Parent Being Sought as Person of Interest in Child Abuse Investigation NR09359gb

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the stepfather of a boy who was found dead in his home.
 
On July 23, 2009, at around 6:35 p.m., LAPD Officers responded to the 800 block of 87th Place for a death investigation. Officers found a seven-year-old boy deceased with unexplained injuries to his body.  The parent of the child was the last known care-taker of the boy, but was not at the location when the paramedics and officers arrived. The victim was pronounced dead by the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
 
The whereabouts of the child’s stepfather, Marcas Fisher, could not be established at the time of the investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Juvenile Division is requesting the public’s help to locate Mr. Fisher, so that he can help explain the child’s injuries.
