Pawn Shop Robbery Caught on Tape

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Area Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the robbers responsible for an armed robbery that occurred at the United Pawn Brokers No. 3 located at 5857 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
On May 28, 2003, at about 1:40 p.m., three young men entered the pawn shop posing as customers. Suddenly, they pulled-out handguns and forced the owner, his employee, and an elderly female customer to the ground. The robbers took over $30,000 in jewelry and cash and left the shop in a 4 door, black, 1990-1995 Nissan Maxima.
Each of the robbers were armed with blue steel revolvers and are described as male Blacks between the ages of 18-20 years old and have dark complexions.
No arrests have been made at this time.
