Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and California State University Northridge Police Department (CSUN PD) will be conducting a Pedestrian Sting Operation

Reseda Boulevard and Dearborn Street

In the United States, a pedestrian is killed in a traffic collision every 120 minutes and injured in a traffic crash every 8 minutes. This operation will be conducted to improve pedestrian safety awareness, to change dangerous driver behavior and improve traffic safety in our communities.       

Plain clothes police officers will be crossing at the intersection to identify motorists who fail to yield to the right of way of pedestrians within the crosswalk.  Those drivers who fail to do so will be cited.
