"Pedestrian Dies from Traffic Collision"
 

Koreatown – On Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at approximately 11:45 a.m., 81 year-old female Korean, Young Sok Kim, was walking southbound on Olympic Boulevard outside of the crosswalk near Gramercy Place and was struck by a Toyota Van, which was westbound on Olympic Boulevard. The driver stopped and requested assistance from Wilshire Area officers who were in the nearby area. The officers immediately requested an ambulance and employed CPR on the victim, until paramedic arrived.
Paramedics transported the victim to Good Samaritan Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
