Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run NR25046cm

North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a pedestrian severely injured.

On February 22, 2025, around 7:50 a.m., a light-colored pick-up truck traveling westbound Basset Street negotiated a left turn at the intersection with Coldwater Canyon Avenue and collided with a pedestrian. The vehicle continued southbound Coldwater Canyon Avenue failing to stop, identify themselves, or render medical aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment. She is described as a female in her late 70’s.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves. Motorcyclists are also reminded to obey the rules of the road and ride at a safe speed.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
