Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, South Traffic Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a man in his 60’s with fatal injuries.
On May 2, 2025, around 10:10 p.m., the victim was crossing the street at Wall Street and Manchester Avenue. As the victim was crossing northbound on Wall Street, a vehicle traveling westbound on Manchester Avenue collided with the victim. The vehicle continued without stopping to identify themselves or render aid, as required by law.
There is no description of the vehicle at this time.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased at scene. His name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
