Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run Motorist NR18120cn

UPDATE

Video surveillance captured the
suspects on Ocean Front Walk, in Venice, before the hit and run
collision occurred. They were seen applying graffiti with the
word/name “TORE” or “TOBE”. Anyone who knows the persons connected
with that word/name, please contact West Traffic Division
detectives at 213-473-0222.

The suspect vehicle is possibly a 2002 GMC Yukon, blue in color
with stock wheels.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles
Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust
Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members
who provide information leading to the offender’s identification,
apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil
compromise.

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police
Department’s West Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help
in providing any information that would lead to the identification
and arrest of the suspects involved in a fatal hit and run
collision that killed 35-year-old Eddie Frank Davis.

On Thursday, April 19, 2018, around 1:25 am, a vehicle struck and
killed a man on Wavecrest Avenue and Speedway Avenue. The vehicle
was travelling northbound Speedway Avenue when it veered off the
road and collided with a pedestrian sleeping on the sidewalk on the
northwest corner of that intersection. The driver of the vehicle,
along with one additional suspect, failed to stop and render aid to
the pedestrian, as required by law, and fled south on Speedway
Avenue.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the
victim dead at scene.

Suspect one is described as a
30-35-year-old male Hispanic or White, standing approximately 5
feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue plaid
shirt, dark blue jean pants and tennis shoes.

Suspect two is described as a
30-35-year-old male Hispanic, standing approximately 5 feet 6
inches tall. He was wearing a grey beanie, grey sweatshirt, dark
pants and tennis shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark blue, or black, late
model Yukon Denali with custom after-market wheels.
