Pipe Bomb Blows Up Near Vehicle NR14046rh

Canoga Park:  Los Angeles Police Department Major Crimes Division, Criminal Conspiracy Section is asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect(s) who placed a pipe bomb near a vehicle.

In the early morning hours of November 25, 2013, unknown suspect(s) placed a pipe bomb near the victim’s vehicle in the 7000 block of Farralone Avenue in the city of Canoga Park.  The pipe bomb blew up and caused damage to the vehicle.

The victim was not injured, however, the exploding pipe bomb scattered metal and shrapnel around the residential neighborhood.

This case is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department Major Crimes Division and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.

The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
