Los Angeles: LAPD detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information about the discovery of a deceased infant’s body in the Angeles National Forest.
Yesterday, the Abused Child Section (ACS) of the LAPD’s Juvenile Division received information about the 2010 unreported death of a 6-week-old infant. Apparently, the child died while in the care of his parents and for reasons still under investigation, he was buried in a wooded area in the Angeles National Forest.
ACS detectives and Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office representatives recovered the body and evidence from the forest. Coroner personnel are examining the infant’s remains to determine the exact cause of death, which is unclear at this time.
No additional information about the case will be available until the investigation progresses.
Anytime day or night, those who may have information are urged to call 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247).
