Police Investigates Possible Homicide on 72 Year-Old Female

On Thursday, October 28, 1999, at approximately 10:25 A.M., Northeast Area Uniformed Patrol Officers responded to a radio call, "Ambulance Death Investigation ", on the 1500 block of North Occidental Boulevard.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they were met by a friend of the victim who stated she had gone to her friend’s residence because she had become concerned with the victim’s welfare. The friend entered the victim’s residence using her keys and discovered the victim lying on the floor of a rear bedroom.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was summoned and upon their arrival, they pronounced the victim dead.

It is unknown at this time when the victim, a female Caucasian, 72 years of age, was last seen alive. There were no visible signs of forced entry into the residence, and the residence was not ransacked. The motive and the exact cause of death are unknown at this time.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Northeast Area Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation.
