The investigation revealed that Efrain Villalobos could be in the Redondo Beach area.
LAPD Rampart Detectives and the Redondo Beach Police Department began to work together to locate Villalobos.
On August 3, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers from the Redondo Beach Police Department located and arrested Villalobos. LAPD detectives responded and took custody of Villalobos. Villalobos was booked for Attempt Murder and has no bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

Rampart Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the shooter who has been identified as Efrain Villalobos, a resident of Lawndale. Villalobos is described as a Hispanic male with a shaved head and brown eyes. He stands five feet ten inches tall, weighs approximately 160 pounds, and is 28 years old.
He has distinctive features, including gauged piercings in both ears and multiple tattoos: his last name “VILLALOBOS” on his right forearm, the phrase “Respect is earned not given” on the inner part of his right arm, and the name “Miabella” on his left inner arm.
Villalobos is facing serious felony charges in connection with the shooting of the driver and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911. The case number is 25132662.

Police Search for Shooter After Multi-Victim Vehicle Attack
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting that occurred during a mass casualty incident.
On July 19, 2025, around 2 a.m., a mass casualty incident occurred outside a nightclub located near the 1000 block of North Vermont Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and discovered that a vehicle had intentionally driven into a crowd of pedestrians gathered outside the venue.
The driver, identified as Fernando Ramirez, was taken into custody at the scene after his vehicle came to a stop upon colliding with several food carts, which became lodged underneath. Ramirez was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders and assaulted.
Fernando Ramirez was taken into custody and booked for 245(a)(4) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury (Booking Number 7055471).
During the altercation, an unidentified male approached from across the street, produced a firearm, and shot Ramirez once in the lower back. That suspect fled the location and remains at large.
At least 36 victims sustained injuries ranging from minor pain to serious fractures and lacerations. Several individuals were struck by the vehicle and some were briefly trapped
beneath it.
The shooting suspect is described as a male Hispanic, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue Dodgers jacket, a light blue jersey with the number “5,” and blue jeans. He has gauges in both ears and a goatee.
