Police Seeking Public’s Help in Solving the Murder of a Shooting Victim

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of 29-year-old Christopher Dajan Avery.

On Saturday, September 6, 2008 at about 11:20 p.m., Avery was walking towards a residence at the 600 block of West 99th Street, when two male suspects shot at him multiple times. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics went to the scene and pronounced him dead.

Investigators believe the shooting is gang related.
