"Police to Conduct Zero-Tolerance Task Force in Devonshire Area"
 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, October 2, 2002, dozens of Los Angeles Police Department officers from Devonshire Area, Valley Traffic Division, and Valley Bureau Headquarters will focus on violent crime and community quality of life issues in an effort to reduce crime in Devonshire Area.
The target zone is the area bordered by Nordhoff Street on the north, Roscoe Boulevard on the south, Wakefield Avenue on the east and the 405 Freeway on the west.
Recent past task forces in other parts of the Valley have resulted in hundreds of traffic citations and vehicle impounds and dozens of arrest. Other similar task forces to combat violent crime and improve the quality of life are also scheduled to be conducted in other parts of the San Ferenando Valley.
