Press Conference Scheduled to Announce the Identity of Scott Foreman Jr.’s Murderer

Hollywood Homicide Detectives will hold a press conference Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. in the roll-call room of the Hollywood Station located at 1358 N. Wilcox Avenue to announce the identity of the suspect wanted for the murder of Scott Foreman Jr.

On the evening of May 29, 1999, at approximately 10:15 P.M., Scott Foreman Jr. and several family members were attending a BBQ in front of 1100 block of N. Beachwood Drive. During the BBQ, a male Hispanic, later identified as Eric Cahuex, approached the victim. The suspect was armed with a 9MM semi-automatic handgun and hit the victim with the gun. The suspect then shot the victim once and fled the location on foot. A second male Hispanic with a shaved or bald head was seen with Cahuex. An eyewitness and the victim’s father identified Eric Cahuex as the shooter. Cahuex is a known Hollywood street gang member. He is currently on probation for spousal battery. Cahuex should be considered armed and dangerous. The murder weapon is still outstanding. Cahuex may be staying with friends in the Hollywood area.

Cahuex is described as a 28 year old male, Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 5′-6" tall, 280 pounds. He also goes by the street name of Little Man and is also known as Eric Calmex.
