Los Angeles: On Sunday, March 9, 2003, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Van Nuys Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of a possible murder at the Mobil Gas Station located in the 4500 block of North Sepulveda Blvd. Upon arrival, the officers observed the gas station clerk to be unconscious and not breathing. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 44 year-old, Richard Nesel, a resident of Van Nuys.
It is believed that the Nesel died as a result of an altercation that he had with a customer. However, this information has not been confirmed.
