WHY: Monday, September 25, 2017, is the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims and in that spirit, The Los Angeles Police Department Operations-South Bureau in partnership with various community groups, is hosting a 5K Walk & Memorial Ceremony, September 23, 2016, for families who have lost a loved one to violent crime. This walk is the first of its kind, bringing Victims Organizations, Community, and Law Enforcement together to remember victims of violence. “Stop the gun violence and call for peace in our community.”
