Los Angeles: Newton Area detectives are currently investigating two separate robbery incidents at local retail stores involving multiple suspects armed with a taser.

On April 5, 2024, around 2:20 p.m., one male suspect and two female suspects entered a retail store in the 4000 block of South Main Street. The suspects selected merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying when they were confronted by store employees. The male suspect was armed with a taser and threatened the employees before fleeing with the merchandise. Officers were able to locate and arrest the male suspect with the assistance of Loss Prevention, however, the two female suspects eluded capture and the taser was not recovered.

The male suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Antwaun Pollard, a resident of the Los Angeles area. Pollard was arrested for 211 PC: Robbery with $100,000 bail. His booking number is 6787371.

On April 10, 2024, around 2:10 p.m., two female suspects entered a retail store in the 3200 block of South Central Avenue. The suspects selected merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying when they were confronted by store employees. One of the suspects was armed with a taser as she exited, and the suspects fled with the merchandise. The two suspects and the taser are not in custody.

The two outstanding suspects are described as female, Black, of short stature and 25 to 30 years old. Detectives believe there are additional victims of the trio and are releasing Pollard’s photograph to locate and interview any victims or witnesses.
