Reward for Deadly Hit and Run in Van Nuys NR15905jk

Los Angeles: A $50,000 reward will be given to anyone who provides information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the hit and run suspect who killed a pedestrian.

On Friday November 27, 2015, at approximately 11:50 p.m., the suspect’s vehicle was travelling westbound on Vanowen Street west of Firmament Avenue when a pedestrian crossing the street was hit. The suspect failed to stop and render aid to the victim who was seriously injured. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene. The victim has been identified as a 33-year-old male resident of Los Angeles and notification to the next of kin was pending as of the release of this statement.

The vehicle is described as a late model two or four door white sedan. It is presumed the vehicle sustained front end damage and a smashed windshield. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Vanowen Street.
