Reward Offered for Father’s Killers

Hollywood: On January 30, 2002, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Vuthipong Sanguansukdikosol, a 51 year-old resident of Hollywood, was shot and killed while parking his vehicle in the garage of his apartment complex located on the 5400 block of Lemon Grove Avenue.

Mr. Sanguansukdikosol had just dropped off his two young sons at the residence when two suspects approached him in an apparent robbery attempt and shot him once in the upper torso. Victim Sanguansukdikosol later died of his gunshot wound at a local hospital.

The persons responsible for this crime not only killed a hardworking member of the community, they murdered a noteworthy employee of the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, and the primary wage earner for a family of four. The Los Angeles Police Department believes that these murder suspects are an ongoing threat to the safety of the citizens of Los Angeles. Therefore, it is appropriate for the City to offer a $25,000 reward for the information leading to the identification and apprehension of those responsible for the murder of Mr. Sanguansukdikosol.

The Commanding Officer, Hollywood Community Police Station, and detectives from Hollywood Area Homicide will hold a press conference announcing the reward. A Photograph of the victim and a composite of one of the suspects will also be available for media exposure.
