Reward Offered on Hit-and-Run Investigation"

San Pedro – On September 30, 2000, at approximately 4:00 AM, a tragic Hit-and-Run collision occurred near the intersection of 1st Street and Cabrillo Avenue, when the suspect drove through a red light at speeds in excess of 85 miles per hour. The suspects’ vehicle collided into a small compact car containing 5 young adults. The suspects abandoned their vehicle at the scene and ran away making no attempt to help the badly injured occupants. As a result of the collision, Danielle Gregorio, 18 years old, was killed.

The suspects were described as two male Hispanics, possibly gang members, between the age of 20 – 25 years old. They were dressed in gang attire wearing white shirts and dark baggy pants. The driver was wearing two gold earrings in his left and right ear as well as a gold ring in his chin.

In an effort to assist in the investigation, the Los Angeles City Council is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this tragic incident.
