Rewards Offered on Three Separate Murders

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Area Homicide detectives will hold a press conference to request the public’s assistance in solving three separate homicides. They will also be announcing the offering of $25,000.00 rewards each to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders. These rewards were sponsored by Councilwoman Janice Hahn and Councilwoman Jan Perry. Family members and friends of the victims will be in attendance and are willing to be interviewed by the members of the media.
On Thursday, April 25, 2002, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Charles Glover, a 43 year-old, was shot and killed while visiting friends in the Nickerson Gardens Housing Development.
On Thursday, July 11, 2002, at approximately 10:50 a.m., William Lawrence Pointer, Jr., a 27 year-old, was shot to death in front of the "Grace to You Church", 8724 South Avalon Boulevard.
On Thursday, September 3, 2002, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Michael Anthony Burke, a 37 year-old, was standing with friends in front of 2036 East 97th Street in the Jordan Downs Housing Development.

 

Although these crimes took place on a heavily populated residential street and detectives have received several clues from community members requesting to remain anonymous, but no witnesses have come forward to identify the person responsible for any of these incidents.
