Los Angeles: A robber armed with an AK-47 assault rifle took cash from a donut shop in South Los Angeles.
On July 21, 2007, just before 5:00 AM, the robber walked into Donut Express, located at 425 East Imperial Highway. The robber got hold of a patron while holding the rifle on his right side and placed his left arm around the shoulder of the patron. The robber walked the patron to the cashier’s counter, pointed the rifle and demanded she open the cash register. In fear for her life, the cashier complied with the robber. The robber reached into the open cash register and removed cash.
The robber then placed the rifle at the patron’s chest and demanded his wallet. The patron was reluctant to give up his wallet. The robber struck the patron in the left eye and walked out the business.
The robber is a male Black and stands about 5’ 10” and weighs 200 pounds. He fled the location in a newer model tan or silver GMC Yukon or a Ford Expedition.
The patron received swelling to his left eye.
