Robbery-Homicide Division Seeks Information in Double-Homicide Case
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division, Central Bureau detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the persons responsible for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Clarence Simpson and 18-year-old Christian Hart.
On June 2, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Clarence Simpson and Christian Hart were shot and killed in the area of Maple Avenue and 12th Street. The motive for the homicide is unknown, and Central Bureau detectives have exhausted investigative leads but have been unable to make any significant progress in the investigation.
The City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department are seeking to provide Simpson’s and Hart’s family with justice and closure for the loss of their family member and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the persons responsible for this senseless murder. Councilmember Ysabel Jurado and the Los Angeles City Council have approved a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Clarence Simpson and Christian Hart.
