Robbery Suspect Caught on Video NR18001ti

Los Angeles: Detectives from the
Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Area are seeking the
public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect, as well as
additional victims.

On Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11:25 a.m., a strongarm robbery
occurred at a apartment complex lobby in the 400 block of south
Berendo Street.

The suspect followed the victim from the street into the lobby of
the apartment complex and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim
attempted to maintain control of her purse and a struggle ensued.
The suspect forcefully pushed the 78-year-old female victim which
subsequently caused the victim to fall onto the ground and release
her purse. The suspect fled on foot with the victim’s purse.

The suspect was described as a 20-25-year-old female Black with red
hair. She stands 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighs around 140
pounds. She was wearing a black jacket with stripes on the sleeves,
ankle high black pants, and pink tennis shoes.

Detectives are available for interviews at Olympic Station at 7
p.m.
