Robbery/Assault Caught on Camera

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Robbery Unit is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Sunny Market Liquor Store, located at 5520 San Vicente Boulevard. 
 
On July 13, 2005, at approximately 5:55 PM, a male and female Black suspect entered the Sunny Market Liquor Store.  The two suspects began looking around the store and the female exited the location and parked a vehicle, possible 2000 to 2003 gold Toyota Camry, in front of the store.  The male suspect walked to the back of the store and took two bottles of champagne from the cooler and exited the store without paying for the champagne.  Two clerks working at the store attempted to stop the male suspect.  The suspect turned to the clerks and repeatedly struck both of them in the head with the champagne bottles.  The male suspect entered the waiting vehicle and drove away.
 
Both clerks received severe lacerations to their heads as a result of the incident.
 
The stores video surveillance camera captured the entire incident.  Photographs of both suspects can be emailed by contacting Media Relations Sections.
