"Same Suspects Commit Several Robberies"

Koreatown – Three armed robberies recently committed in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles may have been the coordinated efforts of the same three male African-American suspects and police are seeking information which may lead to the arrest of these dangerous felons.

On Sunday, November 26, 2000 at approximately 10:10 p.m., three male African-American suspects wearing black bandanas across their faces entered the Opanne Video Store located on the 3800 block of West 6th Street where one of the suspects pointed an unknown caliber handgun at the cashier and demanded money.

On Sunday, November 26, 2000, at 10:50 p.m., another armed robbery occurred at the Midtown Liquor Store located at 5956 West Olympic Boulevard. During this incident, two African-American male suspects also entered the business wearing black bandanas across their faces. Both suspects were armed with handguns and demanded money from the cashier. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction. During the robbery, one of the victims inside the location retrieved a handgun and fired one shot at the suspects. A third suspect, an African-American female, may have served as a lookout for the male suspects outside the store.

On Sunday, November 26, 2000, at approximately 11:55 p.m., two African-American male suspects wearing bandanas across their faces are believed to have entered the Fantastic Donut Shop located at 1101 S. Vermont Boulevard. The suspects were armed with handguns. They took cash and other items before leaving in unknown direction.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as possibly a 1980’s white Ford two-door Thunderbird.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1: Male; African-American; 5’5" to 5’7"; 110-140lbs; 18-25 years

Suspect 2: Male; African-American; 5’7" to 5’8"; 120-150lbs; 18-25 years

Suspect 3: Female; African-American; 5’8"; 120; no further description
