Seeking Additional Victims of Sexual Assault Suspect NR19261ml

Los Angeles: On September 19,
2019, the Los Angeles Police Department Juvenile Division /
Sexually Exploited Child Unit (SECU), assumed investigative
responsibility from LAPD Southeast Division of an investigation
involving Michael Edmond.

The investigation revealed multiple minor victims who alleged that
they had been sexually abused by Edmond. Edmond was arrested on
September 21, 2019 for 288.5 PC, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a
Minor.

On September 24, 2019, this case was presented to the Los Angeles
County District Attorney’s office for filing consideration, seven
counts of 288 (b)(1) PC, Forcible Lewd Acts upon a Child Under Age
of 14, one count of 288(a) PC Lewd Act Upon a Child Under the Age
of 14 and a special allegation of 667.61 (j)(2) PC for multiple
victims involved.

Edmond’s bail was set for $8,800,000.00.
