"Serial Burglary Suspects Sought in Valley"

San Fernando Valley: During the last eight months, a series of residential burglaries have occurred throughout the San Fernando Valley involving the same two suspects.
The suspects profile and target middle class elderly victims by following them home from banks, supermarkets or shopping centers. The suspects knock on the front door and identify themselves as employees of the Department of Water and Power or tree trimmers. The suspects then tell the victims they need to inspect the meters, electrical lines. Once they are inside, one of the suspects goes outside with the victim and the other suspect stays and enters various rooms taking money, jewelry and other valuables.
The suspects are described as two male Hispanics. One of the suspects is 5’8", 185 lbs., approximately 30 years of age, clean-shaven. The second suspect is 5’7", 140 lbs., with a thin goatee. The suspects have been seen driving a Mid-1990’s black SUV, white pick-up truck, white van, blue or dark colored pick-up truck with an extra cab and hitch.
Anyone with information should contact Foothill Area Burglary Detective Charles Uribe at 818-834-3115 or 818-834-3102.
