Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Area Robbery Section is currently investigating several home invasion robberies committed by a suspect in the Beachwood Canyon area of Hollywood.
On June 7, 2003, Bruce McKinney, a 42 year-old male Black and a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested by University of Southern California Campus Police for several residential burglaries in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division. Information developed by detectives revealed that McKinney was also responsible for the crimes committed in Hollywood Division.
Hollywood Robbery Detectives presented the Hollywood Division and Southwest Division cases to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. McKinney was charged with eleven felony crimes. These include First Degree Robbery, Kidnapping and First-Degree Residential Burglary. McKinney is currently housed at the Los Angeles County Jail. Bail for Bruce McKinney is set for $10,000,000.00.
